We will ride north on the trail to Dunellon Blue River Park trailhead and then back to the motel. Round trip is 40 miles. Since this is an up and back ride you can ride any distance you may want.
Please arrive in time to start the ride by 12:30PM. It is approximately a four hour drive from Sanibel. The Central Motel is our overnight accommodation. If you have not done so please reserve your room ASAP to ensure availability. Call the motel directly at 352-726-4515. We have a block of rooms under Jim Cryder/SBC.

At the end of the first days ride we will meet at the motel pool @5-5:30 for a pre-dinner social. Please bring a light snack to share and BYOD. We have a 6:30 dinner reservation at:

This is in downtown Inverness, a 10 minute drive from the motel.
The second day ride will again start from the motel after breakfast. There is a restaurant on site now called the Central Cafe and Bakery, formerly Cinnamon Sticks. This ride will be south on the trail. There are several ride options as this is a down and back ride. Since this is a long day I would encourage us to start riding no later than 9:00AM.

Option One is to ride south and take the Good Neighbor Trail west from the Withlacoochee trail into Brooksville just under 30 miles. Several options in town for lunch or quick bite. Return to Central Motel for a total of 57 miles.

Option Two is to ride south to the end of the Withlacoochee trail and return to Central Motel. Total of also 57 miles with lunch options in Nobleton or Floral City. We have stopped at Brees Riverside Restaurant in Nobelton in the past. Bit of a dive but decent food. Slightly off the trail. In Floral City the Shamrock Inn is close to the trail east on Orange Ave. Very green. Cant miss it.
Option Three is ride south for as many miles as you wish and return. Riding south to Nobelton and back is approximately 30 miles round trip.

Everyone pick your distance and ride with like minded group. After returning to the Central Motel pack up and head back to Sanibel. If this is too long of a day you may want to stay another night at the motel and explore Inverness on your own.
