CLUB NEWS
Ride of Silence: As last year, SBC is participating in the annual worldwide Ride of Silence to remember colleagues who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. The ride will begin and end at the abandoned gas station next to Bailey’s Plaza. Billy‘s Bikes will provide extra helmets, safety vests, and water. Please arrive by 6:45 so we can sign waivers, take a picture, and talk about the reasons for the ride prior to a prompt 7:00 departure Slow pace around town, similar to last year’s route. Please login and register if you are planning to attend so we can get an estimate of the count beforehand.
Weekly Rides: Although the primary 2021-22 season has ended, regular Saturday Morning and Wednesday Lunch rides will continue based on member interest. After polling full-time residents who intend to ride over the summer, a majority of respondents preferred shifting the Saturday morning start time back to 7:30. Therefore, starting May 7 and continuing through October, Saturday morning rides will begin at 7:30.
Off-Island Rides: Another successful season of Off Island rides has concluded. Thanks to all who attended!
Potluck Socials: This season's monthly Potluck Socials at the Community House have concluded.
